Twitter
Stella & Dot
A&E Networks
(Vital Voices Global Partnership)
Twitter。
Ingredion
Spanx
Ebay和《纽约时报》(New York Times)。

What's your go-to travel suitcase (or bag)? Red Victorinox Swiss Rolling Suitcase. I always stick with bright colors so it stands out. It's stocked with its own set of toiletries and ready to go at a moment's notice。
Two apps you can't travel without? Twitter and TripIt。
How do you stay comfortable during long train/plain rides?
I wear Splendid yoga pants and bring several lightweight layers in case the plane gets too hot or too cold. I also like to wear my running shoes for comfort and for unexpected sprints through airports。
Advice for combating jet lag? I avoid doing the math to figure out what time it is back home. It's too stressful! I try to adjust immediately to the local time and work through the day until at least 10pm. If I wake up in the middle of the night, I try to resist the urge to check the time or read emails. I also try to be extra healthy by working out, eating well and drinking lots of water。
What are your tips for keeping relationships with kids/spouses/partners healthy when you're always on the road?
My husband and kids are very supportive of my crazy schedule. When possible, I try to take one kid on a business trip, so we have one-on-one time and they can gain an appreciation for what business travel is like. I also have several adventurous family members who are willing to meet me on the business trip and babysit while I'm in meetings. Everybody wins. While I'm away, I Skype or Facetime with my family every evening and show them what the city I'm in looks like. And I never come home empty handed。
Travel food: what's your go to snack for a long day of meetings or long plane ride? I always travel with Nuts Over Chocolate Luna bars, spicy red pepper flakes, and peppermint Ice Breakers gum。
Maggie Wilderotter
Title: Chairman and CEO
Company: Frontier Communications
On the road: 60% of the year
What's your go-to travel suitcase (or bag)? I use a "travel pro" soft roller bag that has many compartments outside that can be stuffed with small things. It costs $60 on ebags and I buy a new one every 12-18 months。
Two apps you can't travel without? Opentable and UA's flight information app
How do you stay comfortable during long train/plane rides?
I have "travel clothes:" comfortable slacks, long sleeved shirt (washable) and a small zip jacket and black flats (shoes) and socks. I carry a little pillow. I get up every hour on the plane and do stretches. I have a cross-country routine where I work for the first 2 hours, then eat, then sleep for an hour going east to west and then have tea and watch a movie or show. The reverse trip just skips the nap. Routines really help in terms of travel comfort。
Advice for combating jet lag? I get on the new time zone immediately once the plane takes off; change my watch, drink lots of water and always do a stretch routine. I take a hot bath before bed. I set two alarms so I don't toss and turn worrying about if I will get up on time. When possible I take a 20-minute power nap on plane rides or right before dinner after working the day. I also do power walks in the airports waiting for flights or layovers. It keeps the circulation going!
Beauty products you never travel without? La Mer skin care; Pantene Age Defying hair products; my favorite perfume -- DIVA; and my trusty make up case with foundation, blush, eye shadow/liner and two lipsticks. Finally La Mer lip balm is the best。
What are you tips for keeping relationships with kids/spouses/partners healthy when you're always on the road?
I speak to my husband every night -- no matter where I am. I try to catch him right before he has dinner and usually it's right after I have had dinner; we typically are on 3-hour different time zones -- he is west and I am east. Even when I travel west we stick to this routine or I catch him right before bed. I always spoke to my two boys every night when I traveled all through my career. I found when they were teens they would talk more to me on the phone each night I was away than when I would come home!
What's your favorite airport to kill time in? I loved the United Airlines Denver terminal because for 15 years they had a great women's clothing store where I could do a lot of damage in a half hour! It closed last year so I am still in mourning. I spend most of my time at JFK or SFO -- both have continued to upgrade their services but United JFK has a great first-class lounge so I hang out there for the majority of my time in the airport。
Jessica Herrin
Title: Founder and CEO
Company: Stella and Dot
On the road: 6-7 weeks a year
What's your go-to travel suitcase (or bag)? I'm a minimalist that likes to avoid checking at all costs. So I need two bags that carry it all -- The Stella & Dot Switch Bag is my perfect carry on tote and the basic black Samsonite roller bag that calls attention to the 'many bags look alike' warnings. I've often grabbed the wrong one when a gate check bag comes up。
Two apps you can't travel without? Evernote, to capture any inspired thought that comes from a customer or from the world around me, and Facebook。
How do you stay comfortable during long train/plane rides?
Flying is a great uninterrupted way for me to focus on work, so my comfort comes from being sure my devices are charged and chargeable and I've got great music to listen to. Other than that, a wrap to keep me warm and a paperback or paper so I'm not idle during those tortuous 15 minutes of no electronics。
Advice for combating jet lag? Honestly? Coffee and Ambien. Plus, I try to mentally only acknowledge the time zone I am in and get outside to take in the sun if my body still thinks its the middle of the night。
Beauty products you never travel without? Bobbi Brown BB cream -- I love all in one. Lancome Definicils Mascara and Nars or Buxom lip gloss。
What are your tips for keeping relationships with kids/spouses/partners healthy when you're always on the road?
Skype and FaceTime are magic! We read bedtime stories together. My husband will even put me on Skype in the girls room and I gently nudge them along to get ready for school while he's in the shower. I'm in my hotel room working and simply shout out thinks like "hey - you can't wear those shoes" and "ok, go brush your teeth!" I also power pack my trips and get home to them as soon as I can。
What's your favorite airport to kill time in? Even though it's my home base, I love Terminal 2 at SFO. Any extra time, and there are plenty of power outlets, great food, and a place to get a mani-pedi or massage. They even have a yoga room. I've never been it, of course, but it still makes me laugh walking by. So California, the home state I love。
Denise Morrison
Title: President and CEO
Company: Campbell Soup Co。
On the road: At least once a week
What's your go-to travel suitcase (or bag)? My suitcase is always packed with duplicate essentials -- hair dryer, makeup and workout clothes. I actually had to buy new suitcases recently as I had worn through my old ones. I use a Travel Pro carry on for 2-3 night trips. Sometimes my trips involve multiple wardrobe requirements. In that case, I use a large Travel Pro roller suitcase。
Two apps you can't travel without? My favorite app right now is My Fitness Pal. It helps me keep track of the calories I've taken in during the day and also helps me track the calories I've burned through exercise. Since eating on the road is always so challenging, this app really helps me stay in tune with my fitness goals. I also love the basic photo app to look at family pictures -- especially those of my new granddaughter!
You have a meeting immediately after your plane lands. What's your advice for looking presentable?
I always carry my "meeting" shoes with me and wear comfortable shoes when I travel. I also will not wear my jacket on the plane -- I'll hang it when possible. I'll wear a sweater and change. While both things keep me relaxed, I find that by changing into my "official" garb once we land gets me mentally ready for the upcoming meeting。
Advice for combating jet lag? Don't plan to do too much the first night you arrive in a different time zone. My team knows I like to keep it low key when I get to my destination, so I can get a good night's sleep and start fresh the next day。
What are your tips for keeping relationships with kids/spouses/partners healthy when you're always on the road?Utilize technology well. My career began in sales and in the '80's I remember having to fax back edits to my daughter's term papers using the one fax machine at the hotel. We've come a long way since then, as she can now FaceTime me or text me no matter where I am. I make a point to check in with my husband (we're empty nesters now) to see how his day went. I also do this because he has a habit of buying interesting things when I'm away on long trips. I returned from an overseas trip a few years ago to find what I believe is the world's largest espresso machine。
Travel food: what's your go-to snack for a long day of meetings or long plane ride?Pepperidge Farm Goldfish. They are great baked snacks for when I need a boost。
Abbe Raven

Company: A&E Networks
On the road: Every few weeks
What's your go-to travel suitcase (or bag)? I have an old roller bag with the best pockets on the outside...one pocket is perfect for my work folders and iPad and the other is great for easily taking out toiletries at the security checkpoint. It's getting old, but it's perfect for my needs, so I don't want to give it up。
Two apps you can't travel without? Weather and the NY Times -- plus the app for whatever airline I am flying on。
How do you stay comfortable during long train/plane rides?
I try to wear comfortable clothes...and use earplugs. I bring lots of work and reading material that requires quiet concentration -- there is nothing like the NY to LA flight to get things done (no interruptions and plenty of quiet time to think)。
You have a meeting immediately after your plane lands. What's your advice for looking presentable? A quick run to the airport lounge to change clothes and freshen up。
Advice for combating jet lag? I would say drink lots of water on the flight -- and get on a regular schedule when you get home. But truthfully, I haven't really figured out this one yet..。。
Beauty products you never travel without? I have a small bag filled with items like Bobbi Brown's eye cream or La Prairie moisturizer. I also take emergency beauty items along, like Visine and Band Aids。
Alyse Nelson
Title: Co-founder, president and CEO
Company: Vital Voices Global Partnership
On the road: The majority of the year
What's your go-to travel suitcase (or bag)? A small Tumi roller bag that fits in the overhead. I never check bags. Too much risk and time involved when you are on a tight schedule. (This means only one pair of shoes...it's possible!)
Two apps you can't travel without? Twitter, because I often have great stories to tell and news to share from the road, and Google Maps, which helps me find the nearest cafe latte!
You have a meeting immediately after your plane lands. What's your advice for looking presentable?
This is often the case. If it's an overnight flight, I typically bring something to change into before arrival. I ask the flight attendant if they will hang it on the plane. Diane von Furstenberg dresses are great for travel because they are comfy, practically wrinkle free, take up little space -- and you can channel Diane's feminine style and confidence。
Beauty products you never travel without? Kiehl's Midnight Recovery. It's very hydrating and I find the essential oils calming during those long, dry overnight flights。
What are your tips for keeping relationships with kids/spouses/partners healthy when you're always on the road?
We have a saying: LIFO: last in, first out. I try not to travel longer than I need to, even when traveling to really interesting places -- the good news is, I will most certainly be back. Stay in touch and bring back little gifts so that those in your personal life know you are thinking of them even while traveling and doing fascinating things for your professional life. I really try to limit weekend travel. I am a big believer in having a personal life, connecting with family and friends and rest on weekends。
What's your go to snack for a long day of meetings or long plane ride?
I always travel with protein bars and almonds. On a plane ride or in another country it's not always easy to find food, particularly if you are a vegetarian like me。
What's your favorite airport to kill time in? Although the shopping and food are certainly better at London Heathrow or Hong Kong International, I would have to say LAX. I grew up in Los Angeles and traveled a lot as a kid, so that airport always reminds me of coming home...and that's the best destination。
